Příprava na AVL vyšla Mixerům na výbornou
V sobotu 26. 10. 2013 se v Městské hale ve Skutči konal 4. ročník Turnaje smíšených družstev. V ten samý den probíhal i AVL přípravný turnaj, ale z kapacitních důvodů tým Mixérů již nebyl zařazen, proto si vybral jako přípravu právě tento turnaj.
Složení týmu (viz. foto nahoře): Luky, Iva, Tom, Mariusz, Eliška a Jirka
Celkem se na turnaji sešlo 13 týmů. Hrály se 3 základní skupiny, z nichž do finálových bojů postupoval vítěz z každé skupiny a jeden tým z 2. místa s nejlepším skóre. Po základních bojích tedy vznikly další skupiny o 1. až 4., 5. až 8. a 9. až 13. místo. Zápasy se hrály na dva vítězné sety do 20 bodů, případný tiebreak pak trochu prapodivně do 5 bodů bez dvoubodového rozdílu.

Mixéři byli zařazeni do čtyřčlenné skupiny B, kterou bohužel tvořil i další "rodinný" tým z Hlinska - Janouškovci (hrající za Mixéry AVLku), tudíž nám to zkomplikovalo naše vysněné představy, že bychom se sešli s tímto týmem až ve finálové skupině.
Skupinu jsme načali nepříliš těžkým vítězstvím nad týmem Bystré, poté následoval zápas s mladým týmem Bez aut, který hrál pouze v pěti, ale od začátku se jevil jako vítěz skupiny. První set tomu také skutečně odpovídal a my ho poměrně jasně prohráli, druhý set ale zřejmě podcenili a s naší zlepšující se hrou jsme dotáhli zápas do tiebreaku, který jsme dokázali vyhrát 5:1. Poslední zápas s Janouškovci byl tedy rozhodující pro oba týmy, co se týče postupu do boje o příčky nejvyšší. Jelikož se oba týmy dobře znaly, nebylo jasné, kdo se popere lépe s taktikou, jak zdolat soupeře. Mixéři ale utkání zvládli lépe a po dvou těsných setech si nakonec vybojovali postup do finálové skupiny. Janouškovci skončili nakonec na místě třetím.

Do finále se kromě Mixérů probojovaly týmy Proseč, Antik Svitavy a nám velmi známí NAVOSTRO (Horní Bradlo-Hlinsko-Nasavrky) s bývalým hráčem SKOH Luďou Jeklem.
První zápas ve finálové skupině s týmem NAVOSTRO byl velmi vyrovnaný, hrálo se stále nahoru a dolů, ale lepší koncovkou jsme nakonec první set vyhráli 20:16. V druhém setu se nahromadily zbytečné chyby, začali jsme prohrávat a vše směřovalo k tiebreaku. Za stavu 14:19 už snad nikdo nevěřil v jiný závěr. Na podání byl Mariusz a skvělým podáním držel naše šance. Jirkovi se dařily bloky, v poli jsme vybrali vše, do toho Tomášovy 4 vítězné smeče za sebou a neskutečný obrat byl na světě! Zdecimovaný tým NAVOSTRO se už na nic nezmohl a druhý set jsme tak vyhráli 22:20.

Druhý zápas nás čekal velmi zkušený tým z Proseče. První set jsme prohráli vcelku jasně 13:20, v druhém jsme ale zabojovali a stejným poměrem jsme soupeřům porážku oplatili. Následoval nevyzpytatelný tiebreak, kde jsme se soupeřem střídavě přidávali body. Za stavu 3:4 jsme dokázali přidat 2 body za sebou my a završit tak druhé vítězství těsným poměrem 38:37.
Velmi těsný zápas proti Proseči, Jirka blokuje a Tom smečuje :)

Rozhodující zápas jsme tak sehráli s týmem Antik Svitavy, jelikož tento tým měl později také dvě vítězství, byl to přímý boj o 1. místo. S docházejícími silami se už hrálo velmi těžce, byl to boj o každý balón. Vidina zlaté příčky nás ale vyburcovala vydolovat ze sebe poslední síly a dotáhnout zápas k vytoužené výhře celkovým poměrem 40:33.
Bez jediné prohry tak byla naše cesta turnajem završena TITULEM.
